Jazz Trumpet Professor & Guest Artist/Clinician
John is the Jazz Trumpet Professor the Jazz Studies department at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. He has also been a guest artist and clinician at over 100 high schools and universities around the world. He has worked extensively with small and large ensembles, and has presented masterclasses on trumpet fundamentals, improvisation, composition, building good practice habits, health & wellness as a musician, and has given presentations on various music business topics including his Jazz Education Network presentations on “Developing a Grass Roots Approach Towards Developing a Fan Base” and “Social Media Strategies for the DIY Musician.”
